Among all the updates, the dates for the EV Expo 2022 have been announced and Volvo has revealed the prices for its first all-electric model in India
Last week saw the launch of Volvo’s first all-electric offering, the XC40 Recharge, in India. During the same period, we also got our first spy shots of the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift and Mahindra open reservations for the newly launched Scorpio N variants.

New Mahindra Scorpio N variants are now eligible for reservations: Prices for the automatic, six-seat and AWD variants of the Scorpio N were announced recently. The automaker is now accepting orders for them for Rs 21,000.
Volvo XC40 charging comes to India: Volvo finally joins the list of luxury car makers offering an electric vehicle (EV) in India with the XC40 Recharge. The electric SUV has a 78 kWh battery with a WLTP-claimed range of 418 km. Thanks to its aggressive pricing, all 150 units of the first batch of Volvo EVs are already sold out for 2022.
Maruti Ertiga’s standard safety kit gets a nice update: The Maruti Ertiga received a minor facelift earlier this year, which resulted in significant safety improvements. Maruti has now gone a step further and beefed up the MPV’s safety kit by providing Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Assist as standard.
Mahindra XUV700 Reservations Update: Since the XUV700 went on sale in 2021, Mahindra has witnessed wild demand for the SUV. The automaker has now revealed that the total bookings of the XUV700 have exceeded 1.5 lakh, which has certainly led to a long waiting period.
Volvo C40 recharge confirmed for India: During the launch of the XC40 Recharge, Volvo revealed plans to bring its second all-electric SUV, the C40 Recharge, to India. Like the first, the C40 Recharge will also be assembled locally here.
2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift spied: The first public spy photos of the fourth-generation Suzuki Swift have surfaced online. It seems to have retained the typical design traits associated with its previous generations. We also have an idea when Maruti will introduce it in India.
EV 2022 Expo Dates Announced: The 15th edition of the EV Expo should take place soon in New Delhi. It is a one-stop platform to witness all the latest developments in e-mobility, ranging from e-bikes to e-buses.
Mahindra XUV400 EV spied again: Mahindra is preparing to introduce its first long-range electric vehicle, the XUV400, in September. The SUV, which is the electric version of the XUV300, gets a reworked rear profile and has now been spied in a production-ready avatar.
MG Hector Facelift’s touchscreen unveiled: It seems that after Mahindra, MG Motor took inspiration from Mercedes-Benz for its on-board central display. This can be confirmed from the first teaser of the Hector facelift which is expected to get a 14-inch infotainment system, replacing the currently offered 10.4-inch unit. In related news, we learned exclusively that MG will continue to offer the existing Hector alongside the facelifted model.
