CWT is adding both car rental and train booking functionality to its myCWT web and mobile platforms, the travel management company announced.
For car rentals, myCWT users will be able to search for pick-up and drop-off locations and access company-negotiated rates and their employers’ preferred suppliers. CWT also integrates car rental company loyalty program details into the platform. The integration process has begun “in key markets around the world,” according to CWT.
For train content, CWT is working with long-time partner, European rail platform Trainline Partner Solutions, to integrate booking and ticketing functionality into myCWT via an API. The integration will include access to negotiated fares and corporate discounts, as well as seat and preference reservation capabilities. CWT is starting with content for the myCWT mobile app, and it will be available in the UK this month, with more European markets added in the coming months.
Prior to these integrations, travelers either had to work with a CWT travel counselor to book car and train travel or go through a third-party booking tool, according to CWT.
CWT also introduces sustainability elements into both offerings. In car rental reservations, myCWT will have indicators highlighting electric and hybrid rental options, and CWT will add carbon emissions estimates to the booking process later for car and train reservations.
The integrations are happening thanks to the $100 million investment resulting from the recapitalization of TMC last year, according to CWT.
