In its first two weeks, the new Malaga-Granada Avant train service has been used by more than 4,000 passengers
Renfe launched its new line between the Andalusian cities of Malaga and Granada on April 4. Since that date, more than 4,000 passengers have already taken advantage of the Avant high-speed train during its first 15 days of service, until yesterday Tuesday, April 19.
Specifically, a total of 4,300 customers have boarded the Avant trains that run daily from Granada to the capital of the Costa del Sol.
During its first two weeks of operation, this sustainable mode of transport would have prevented the circulation of approximately 2,872 cars, thus reducing the emission of 57.4 tons of C02.
Since April 4, Renfe has been operating four daily trains in its new Avant operation. Departures from Granada are at 7:40 a.m. and 6:50 p.m. From Malaga they depart at 9:25 a.m. and 8:25 p.m., with a journey time of 70 minutes.
Each train makes an intermediate stop in Loja and, when it enters service, it will also stop at the future Antequera Alta Velocidad station, as reported granadadigital.es.
