The Malaga tragedy leaves one dead and two injured after a head-on collision.

The fatal accident took place on the A-7053 road in Alhaurín el Grande de Malaga, according to Emergencias 112, a service attached to the Ministry of Presidency, Public Administration and Interior of the Andalusian regional government.

One person died at the scene of the accident and, at this time, no further details have been released as to their identity. A 47-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl were injured in the head-on collision. They were evacuated to the Clínico Universitario hospital to receive medical treatment for their injuries.

According to the Junta de Andalucia: “On Saturday around 8.45 p.m., 112 received a call from a driver reporting a head-on collision between two cars on the A-7053 road, which goes from Coín to Fuengirola, near the Terrazas de Alhaurin.

“The coordination center immediately called the Civil Guard of Tráfico, road maintenance and firefighters of the Provincial Consortium of Malaga.

Rescuers were able to rescue a person trapped in one of the cars.
