The alleged attacker, who was covered in blood, forced his way into an apartment after the stabbing and was arrested there by police.
Police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man who was stabbed on Monday evening in a street in the historic center of Malaga. A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with her death.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. in Calle Marín García, the street perpendicular to Calle Larios. The residents gave the alert after seeing the suspect, covered in blood, on the stairs of the block.
National and local police officers rushed to the scene, along with an emergency medical team who attempted to resuscitate the victim. He died from his stab wounds.
According to the police, the suspect had taken refuge in one of the apartments, after having forced the door to enter. A police intervention squad entered the property and arrested him, after a fight. The motive for the crime is currently unknown.
It was the second such incident in the province of Malaga in two days, because on Saturday morning, around 5:30 a.m., a fight broke out between four or five young people outside a nightclub in Plaza Solymar in Benalmádena. One, 18, pulled out a knife and attacked two of the others. One was slightly injured in the hand and the other more seriously injured in the neck, jaw, scalp and forearms. He was transported by private car to the hospital, but his life would not be in danger.
The assailant fled the scene when officers arrived, but officers found him moments later and placed him under arrest.
